"planning? you don't already have a dryer yet?"

thats right. I've lived here for three weeks and I've only done laundry once- at my girlfriend's apartment.

I'm running out of underwear, and I really need to get appliances. Kind of last minute they threw into the deal that appliances didn't come with the house.

Honestly I am happy they took the appliances because this place is so dirty that I'm not sure if their washing machine would have done much in terms of cleaning my clothes anyways. Also, like everything else in this house, they were far from being properly hooked up, so that needed to be redone...

My plan is to run gas straight across my basement, along the floor joists, above the main beam, then drop to the dryer. Should be easy!

Now I just have to do lots of measurements, buy pipe, couplings et cetera, but before I do that I need to have the gas company come make sure my meter shut off valves are in working order. I have heard sometimes the valves to shut off gas seize up and do not actually form a seal, so I want to make sure that does NOT happen to me!!!
